I graduated from Liverpool Dental School in 1995, GDC No. 70969 with no clear plan as to what I was going to do! I started by completing my Vocational Training Year at Aughton Dental Practice and then moved on to Ashton Dental Practice in Ashton -in-Makerfield. It was then that my boss, Barry Rimmer, offered to sell me Lowton Dental Centre. That was 21 years ago now and the practice continues to go from strength to strength
Over the years I have opened two other practices, but my heart always remained in Lowton. A lot of the staff here have been here for a long time, or have left to pursue other qualifications and then returned to us. I think overall we have a great relaxed atmosphere where everyone is happy in their work.
We are just introducing an affordable dentistry plan to our fee structure because we have no capacity to see any more adult patients within the NHS. It has so far met with a great response, and we are currently looking to expand our team further to meet this demand.
Anita started at Lowton in 2000, just after I took over the practice. I’ve been trying to get rid of her ever since! Anita looks after all of the staff here providing an ear when ever anyone needs to get something off there chest. I think that she is the main reason we have such a good atmosphere at the practice
